Samoyed Breed Information:
The Samoyed is one of the most sweet and gentle of all the dog breeds, which gets along with every one very easily. This breed is not good for a watchdog or to guard something. They are sensitive sweet and beautiful, this breed is a peace loving breed, which is very loyal to their masters and family. Samoyed breed is loved by every one because of their get along habits. This breed is not the most beautiful but can counted among the top beautiful breeds in the world.
This dog breed does good with cats and other small animals and can alert their masters if they see anything by barking. They do well with children and older people, overall they are a good household breed.
The Samoyed has a double coat which are thick and long and needs lots of grooming, the outer coat is harsher then the inner, the undercoat is short thick and has a wool like texture. Samoyed dog breed is a good learner and requires consistent training. Training should be given to them with patience and fairness, they will not respond to any hard and harsh methods of dog training.
Cooler weather is well suited to them but they can also do well in warmer climates, they require consistent exercise and lots of water must be given to them. As this breed has thick coat it needs lots of grooming. Samoyed sheds during warmer weather. They require regular brushing to avoid the dirt and dead hair. Bathing should be done when required.
Samoyed Health and Diseases:
This breed is very rare so there are not many known health issues and dog diseases but Samoyeds are prone to hip dysplasia and suffer from diabetes. They are also prone to skin allergies, PRA (eyes) primarily in male dogs. The average lifespan of the Samoyed is about 12 to 15 years of age.
